SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT FACT CHECKERS CHECK FACTS....

This is older news, but these guys are still around, and their business is doing extremely well, contributing to the propaganda machine.

Snopes' lead writer admits she gets high while fact-checking.
Snopes head writer Kim LaCapria has admitted on her personal blog that she smokes pot while fact-checking political articles.
The Daily Mail reports that LaCapria, who boasts that she is a dominatrix called Vice Vixen, also has a personal blog about sex. In her personal blog, she described what she did on her day off, writing that she "played scrabble, smoked pot and posted on Snopes." She then added: "This is what I did on my 'on' day, too."

EXCLUSIVE: Facebook's 'fact checker' who will be the arbiter of 'fake news' is accused of scamming the website to pay for prostitutes - and his staff includes escort-porn star and 'Vice Vixen domme'
Facebook has announced plans to check "fake news" with a number of organizations to assess whether stories are true
One of them is a website called Snopes.com, which claims to be one of the Web's "primary resources" and "painstakingly researched and credible."
It was founded by husband and wife Barbara and David Mikkelson, who used letterhead claiming to be a non-existent association to start their research.
Now they are divorced - Barbara claims in legal documents that he embezzled $98,000 of the company's money and spent it on "himself and prostitutes."
In a long and bitter legal dispute, she claims he is underpaid and demands an "industry standard," or at least $360,000 a year.
The two sides also dispute the basic facts of their case - despite Snopes.com's claim that its "ownership" is committed to "accuracy and impartiality."
Snopes.com founder David Mikkelson's new wife, Elyssa Young, is employed by the site as an administrator.
She has worked as an escort and porn actress and, despite claiming that the site is non-political, ran as a libertarian for Congress with the "Dump Bush" program.
The main "fact-checker" is Kimberly LaCapria, whose blog "ViceVixen" says she is in touch with her "home page" and wrote on Snopes.com while smoking pot. One of the websites to be used by Facebook to arbitrate "fake news" is involved in a bitter legal dispute between its co-founders, with the CEO accused of using company money for prostitutes.
Snopes.com will be part of a panel used by Facebook to decide whether stories that users complain are potentially "fake" should be considered "disputed."
But the site's own troubles and intriguing choice of who conducts its "fact-checking" were revealed by DailyMail.com, as one of its top contributors was revealed to be a former sex blogger who called himself "Vice Vixen." Snopes.com will take advantage of Facebook's decision to allow users to report items in their newsfeed that they believe are "fake."
It is asking several organizations to arbitrate on items that are reported or that Facebook employees think may not be real, and decide whether they should be marked as "disputed."
Arbitrator: Facebook announced that Snopes.com was one of the organizations it will turn to for "fact-checking" when questions arise about the veracity of news stories
Others include ABC News, Associated Press and "fact-checking" websites, including Politifact.com.
Now a DailyMail.com investigation reveals that Snopes.com's founders, former husband and wife David and Barbara Mikkelson, are embroiled in a long and bitter legal dispute following their divorce.
He has since remarried, to a former escort and porn actress who is one of the site's employees.
They accuse each other of financial irregularities, with Barbara claiming that her ex-husband is guilty of "embezzlement" and implying that he is trying to "boondoggle" to change tax arrangements, while David claims that she took millions from their joint accounts and bought property in Las Vegas.
Well, fact-checking is a serious business.
I recall that several years ago, we found the CIA component involved with Snopes and blew the doors wide open on Facebook only to have our accounts in prison shortly thereafter. Such shenanigans continue to this day...and then some. Thanks for exposing their behavioral characteristics which continue to invalidate their capacity to fact check anything except dirt on each other for court battles. Sorry excuses for empty suits!
